August 10, 7:00 p.m. (Mission) Twin City Mission – Learn about the Work of the Mission and Bring Needed Items -- small bars of soap, hairbrushes, lotion, small tubes of toothpaste, razors, towel and other toiletries
August 12, 4:30-6:00 p.m. (Mission) Small group (3-4 people) will help with meal preparation at the Mission
August 17, 7:00 p.m. (Study) “Freak Not: Dealing with Daily Pressures”
(Thoughtful Christian Youth Study)
August 24, 7:00 p.m. (Worship) “What’s Baptism All About?”
(Thinking about your own baptisms as you prepare for Grace Greenwood’s baptism in traditional worship on August 31)

Youth Fellowship
Fellowship groups for both Senior Highs and Mid-Highs meet on Sunday afternoons and evenings during the regular school year. Mid-Highs meet at 5:00 pm and end their time together with supper. Senior Highs begin their time with supper at 6:00 pm and end at 7:30 pm. The groups meet together on several occasions for service and recreational opportunities.
Wednesday Night Program
Mid-High and Senior High youth meet together on Wednesday nights (during the school year) for a time of reflection and study of current events and life issues. A catered dinner is served at 6:00 p.m., the Youth Choir rehearses from 6:30-7:00 p.m. with the time for study scheduled from 7:00-8:00 pm.
Retreats
The youth go on an annual fall retreat to Camp Tejas located near Giddings. In the spring they attend Conclaves sponsored by the Presbytery of New Covenant at Camp Cho-Yeh near Livingston.
Summer Camps and Conferences
Youth have the opportunity to attend summer camp at Cho-Yeh or conferences at Mo-Ranch with scholarship help from the church.
Cho-Yeh offers summer camp opportunities for youth up to 16 years of age. Christian Leadership Training sessions are held for older youth. For more information or to register for a session see www.cho-yeh.org.
Groups from our church attend Junior High Jubilee, Youth Celebration and Mo-TLC (The Leadership Conference) at Mo-Ranch each summer. Our Mid-Highs attend Junior High Jubilee, our Senior Highs attend Youth Celebration and selected Senior Highs attend Mo-TLC.
Leadership Opportunities
All youth may apply to serve on the Youth Ministry Council of our church along with adults interested in the youth program. This group plans and helps implement all the events of our youth program.
Senior High youth are also invited to serve on the Presbytery Youth Connection Council. Youth must fill out applications for this council in the summer and submit them to the Presbytery of New Covenant office for consideration.
